Linked Data and AI Part 1: A Primer

Jim Hahn is the first Head of Metadata Research at Penn Libraries, University of Pennsylvania. He works collaboratively across the Libraries, developing a vision for services, technologies and policies to enhance discovery of collections and participates in linked data initiatives.
Jim chairs the BIBFRAME Working Group and the Wikidata Working Group, and is a member of the Linked Data Team. He holds an M.S. and C.A.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he previously worked before joining Penn Libraries.
His professional interests include linked data technologies, metadata research, and the development of next-generation cataloging practices. He is active in the American Library Association and works with various technologies including GitHub, OpenRefine, Overleaf, and Oxygen XML editor.
