Metadata and AI: Navigating Opportunities, Risks, and Skills Gap
A panel of practitioners and researchers on where AI is delivering for metadata work, the training and competency gap, and the ethical responsibilities of metadata librarians.
A graduate of the Institute of History at the University of Warsaw, he obtained his PhD in library and information science on the basis of a dissertation entitled “The Use of Topic Maps in the Transformation of Subject Headings: The Case of the National Library of Poland Subject Headings,” written under the supervision of Professor Jadwiga Woźniak-Kasperek. In 2015–2016, he was an assistant professor at the Institute of Scientific Information and Book Studies, University of Warsaw, in the Department of History, Theory and Methodology of Bibliography. Since 2016, he has been employed at the Department of Bibliography and Documentation. He is Co-Chair of the Metadata and AI Task Group of the DCMI Education Committee.
