Dr. Cuijuan Xia is a Professor at the Department of Digital Humanities, School of Information Resource Management, Renmin University of China. She has extensive experiences as a career researcher and librarian at the Shanghai Library and led numerous digital humanities (DH) projects during last 20 years. In planning, design, and implementation of these DH projects, Dr. Xia developed her expertise in Linked Data technologies and built an impressive research profile in Metadata and Ontology, Knowledge Organization and Representation, as well as Linked Data and Knowledge Graphs. She is also deeply committed to exploring Digital Humanities and Digital Memory, alongside the innovative applications of the Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence within GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) institutions. She has served as a principal/co-principal investigator or senior personnel in more than ten projects funded by the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of China. She has published 5 books and more than 100 academic papers.
